UK Casino Guide Craps - Winning Craps

Despite its name, uk craps is the most popular dice game in the world that is enjoyed at many online casinos.

Modern days craps has evolved from a game of the 1800s called Hazard. The game has been simplified somewhat over the years to become the game that is known and played the world over today.

Like any other online gambling game, there are many different terms you will hear craps players use. Before you start playing, it’s a good idea to brush up on these. The following link gives you a good general idea of some of the terms used: http://www.999-craps.net/craps_terms.html.

How to play Crap

Craps is played on a large, long table, which has been marked off with a number of different betting areas. In online casinos you will usually only see one half of the table. On real life tables there is a large square section in the middle. In you online casino, this will be to one side of the screen. It’s in this square section that wagers known as proposition bets are made. These proposition bets are usually only placed through a dealer, but online casinos should let you do it yourself.

The object of the game is that you will throw a set of dice will be down the table to give a total. You will have placed a bet that the dice roll will produce a total between a certain set of numbers. Depending on your site, you may have other people betting ‘with the dice’ (they win if you do) or ‘against the dice’ (they win if you lose).

Before a new shooter begins the roll you will need to make a pass line bet. This is as simple as placing some chips in the middle of the band marked ‘PASS’. If a shooter rolls either a 7 or 11 or their first roll, you, and all the other pass line bettors win. You lose if the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12. If the shooter rolls another number, that number becomes what is known as the ‘point’ number. The shooter and the pas line bettors would like the shooter to roll the ‘point’ again before they roll a seven. The shooter keeps throwing the dice, and, if they are lucky enough to hit the point again you (and all the pass line bettors) win. If they hit a seven first they have ‘sevened’ out and the pass line bettors lose. This also finishes the round.

There are many different types of bets available to play in craps. Common bets include the pass line bet, the don’t pass bet, the big 6/big 8 bet, the field bet, the come bet, the place bet, buy and lay bets, hardway bets and proposition bets. Depending on the type of bet you wish to place will dictate where on the table you place your bets. For details definitions of the types of bets available vist:

Online Craps Strategy

Bankroll Management
One of the best strategies for craps is intelligent bankroll management. Just like most other games, set yourself a bankroll (or betting) limit and stick to. This also allows you to pace your bets and allows you to have fun longer.
Also set walk away limits. It’s hard to turn your back when winning, but if you set a limit to walk away at, you won’t blow all your winnings trying for bigger slice of the pie.

Understand your bets
It makes good common sense to understand what you are betting on and whether on not it is a good bet. For more information on what constitutes a good or bad bet visit
